I originally intended to title this page "OPINIONS" but carefully reconsidered after thorough thought on the subject. So having said that, I'm going to give you some of mine. As my own consultant/advisor, I do not claim, under any circumstances, to be the best out there. There are many talented fabricators out there who consistantly do jobs, day in and day out, that I can only dream to do. Many of them are NOMMA members. We have living legends, now, in our field still practicing their craft, and I am not one of them.
As a consultant/advisor, I feel it imperative (opinion only) that every fab/iron shop should, at the very least, be made aware of the existence of NOMMA.
I also believe in the use of FabCAD, which is to say modern technology in all its forms, to enhance and to advance our field. Don't get stuck behind the times.
There are many books in my extensive library. The first is The King James Bible followed by the Cunningham Golden Books, and so on. I believe in both for what they are. Following those are collections ranging from periodic ironwork to geographical ironwork. Does anyone know when ironwork, as a decorative form, came into existence? And where?
